I got one minute to blog! Internet time is expensive here!!!

I got to Tokyo ok, my family missed their flight but got the next one, so after a bit of paging I resorted to some expensive internet time and got my brothers emails!

I really miss itayanagi, for the people more than the place

Travels

Tonight I leave Aomori. At 21:45 I need to be on an overnight bus heading south to Tokyo. Tomorrow morning I head out to Narita to meet my dad, Andrea and my brother (that’s my dad AND Andrea, my dad isn’t called Andrea…) and then head back in to Shinjuku where we will be staying in a hotel until the 6th July. Then they head back to NI and I head for Kyoto for some sight seeing in the Kansai area til the 12th. Then I head back to Tokyo for the Kids Gospel Team (the journal’s not up yet, but soon hopefully!).

So with all of this I may not have time to update much or even have access to a PC until the Gospel Team, so don’t panic if you haven’t heard from me!

If you pray, please do!

An update

Recently a few things have been going on. David and I organised an English night which was well received and well attended. We had a quiz (a rather silly quiz), a song or two and some cottage pie.

Last Friday we were due to take to the skies with Mr Fujimoto, however due to weather conditions it was called off and instead we spent a fun day at Itayanagi writing sermons and handing out tracts.

My IPAQ broke, as I mentioned. I have been in touch with HP and they are keen to fix it under warranty, but I need to get it to the UKand then call them to arrange it. So it can go home with my brother when he comes to visit.

Since monday we were at OMF conference in Chiba (South east of Honshu, by the sea) which was pretty good. It was very interesting to hear about OMFs ministries in Japan and how they do things and where they do things etc. I had a very interesting talk with Eddie O’Grady and Wolfgang Langhans about possible ministries in the future that may interest me. Which was encouraging!

I also ate some dodgy yakitori today and so will cut this entry short without any witty monologuing in order to answer “The Call”

Ipaq gone…

My HP Ipaq has been my constant companion since coming to Japan. I have used it to read and send emails, keep track of appointments and phone numbers, as a japanese-english dictionary and a whole lot more. But today, at the English Night, I was trying to get it to play music back through the sound system and it froze. So I reset it. And now the touchscreen isn’t working. This effectively makes it a paperweight.

I am gutted.

North Korea threat looms

In Japan people have been worried about the proximity of North Korea for a while. But it seems this driver has decided to take matters into their own hands…
