Decisions?
This afternoon there is a day of prayer on in Belfast on the drive of Stormont, Mark and Mark are planning to go and are wondering if I will go with them. I remember it from Deeper a while back and thought “I’ll go to that!” But I have a problem…
Last week I missed playing in the band due to not feeling well, this week I don’t really want to miss it again and the day of prayer doesn’t finish until 5:30pm which means not getting back in antrim until prob 6:30 or later.
So I am torn between whether I should go to the day of prayer, which I am sure is very worthwhile, or to stay home and play in the band tonight, which is a long running commitment I have…
On top of it, I have the beginnings of a stinking headache from my internal clock timeshifting that went on last week as I was working to get my project done and dusted.
I’m thinking I should perhaps take the Sunday as a day of rest and get back up to speed ready to face another week of frantic work as I prepare for my exams.
It’s funny, there is so much Christian activity going on that I actually might have to abstain from some of it… A complaint that I’m sure many Christians would love to have!

The day of prayer, which was really only two and a half hours and which included a lot of praise, was good. The sun was beating down, the crowd was immense, the praise was good, the prayer was powerful and it was awesome to witness. People from different denominations (Protestant and Roman Catholic, alike) coming together to pray for Northern Ireland - to pray for peace and the enthronement of God.
You probably did the right thing, though, by taking the day off to rest. Hope it worked and you’re well rested!
